Teachers discovered that children don’t mind repetition one bit. The Cornerstone Theater troupe presented the same three lines in 15 dramatic styles. The skit “1 Can't Pay the Rent" was performed in every way from Western to slapstick comedy to rock video. At the end of the 15th version a disappointed sigh from the children was heard when they realized that it was the final version.
The skit contained a villain, who, of course, had a mustache, a female with a bow in her hair, and a good guy in a bow tie.
