R-26th > On Thursday, March 3, the Senate Transportation Committee voted to reject the bill supported by the governor that would increase the speed limit to 65 mph for automobiles on rural interstate highways.
N The governor’s bill was defeated by a coalition made up of those who want no increase in the speed limit and those opposing a different speed iimit for cars vs. trucks on rural interstates. I voted against the bill because in my opinion we should raise the speed for both cars and trucks.
