Settle reunion

The eighth annual Settle reunion was enjoyed by relatives and friends on Sunday, Sept. 18th at the Rappahannock Recreation Park. The attendance was very encouraging, with several people attending for the first time.
Mrs. Eliza Settle of Amissville was the oldest family member present. Eliza Settle was born in March 1900, in Rappahannock County. Her sister, Mrs. Fannie Ficklin, of New Carrollton, Md. also attended.
The youngest relative attending was Elizabeth Thomamson, greatgranddaughter of Mrs. Eliza Settle. Elizabeth is the daughter of Jack and Sharon Settle Thomamson.
Traveling the longest distance was Greg Settle of Germany. Greg is the son of the late Buddy Settle and grandson of the late Brue Settle.
The Settle reunion will be held next year on Sunday, Sept. 17, 1989, at the Rappahannock Recreation Park.
