After many years, Louise Varner has retired from the news business, and has been replaced by Tammy Dwryer, an RCHS senior wTho also works part-time at the newspaper office.
But the news pages are only one part of the makeup of the paper. For many, the “Commentary” page, containing the paper’s weekly editorial and letters to the editor, are an equally important feature. For journalists, a newspaper just isn’t worthy of the name without a strong editorial page.
