On the seventh day at Camp Fantastic, there was sweet sorrow aplenty. “Leaving was awful. I really wanted to stay,” said Alex. He’s been busy since his return, answering every letter from the campers who write him regularly, and this weekend, he’ll be back in the clouds of Harmony Hollow for the Family Fantastic fall weekend. Then comes the Christmas party, the ski weekends, and next August, another session of Camp Fantastic, he hopes. , “I want to go back every year I possibly can for the rest of my life. It was like getting 83 new family members, and I miss them all,” Alex said. “Everything’s different since camp. Camp Fantastic makes everything else seem so insignificant.”
