Certainly, John Dooley sees 4-H as all of these things. But his vision encompasses much more. He has dedicated his Harmony Hollow dream business to making 4-H relevant to the young people growing up in suburbia and to the country children who are watching hay fields, orchards, and pastures replaced by subdivisions.
To explain, he talks about the four Cs of the center’s 4-H programs: cows, cooking, computers, and cancer.
Cows and cooking are self-explanatory; they draw from the 4-H tradition of agriculture and economics.
