According to the Hagers-Tmcn Tou~n and Country Almanack, this is the outlook for October.
October, the month of “foliage.” when maples turn pale yellow or crimson, and oaks become bronze. A time when Jack Frost’s paint brush colors the landscape in a way no artist’s palette can hope to capture.
Weather watch: We can expect below average temperatures but precipitation will be above average. The 10th month opens fair and mild followed by cool temperatures with showers 2-1; look for more rain 8, 9, again 13, 14. Periods 5-7 and 10-12 will be fair and mild. Latter part of month temperatures will turn colder with more moisture and winds 18-20, breezes and scattered showers 21-26 and more of same 28-31.
There appears to be no need for a tornado watch in the area this month with any activity centered in other parts of the country.
