The Daughters of the American Revolution dedicated a bronze bust of Gen. John Peter Gabriel Muhlenburg in front of the historic Shenandoah County Courthouse in Woodstock on Saturday, Oct. I.
Representing the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter were Mrs. Edgar F. Puryear Jr., Mrs. Philip Brewer, Mrs. Zillah Gutowski, Mrs. Robert W. Brown, Mrs. Dale Metzinger, Mrs. Dieter Knuepfer and Mrs. Douglas Fairfax. Mrs. Irwin Kilby also attended the dedication as a guest of the chapter.
Among the DAR dignataries present at the ceremony were Mrs. Raymond F. Fleck, President General, NSDAR; Mrs. Eldred M. Yochim, Past First Vice-President General and now a nominee for President General; Virginia State Recent Mrs. Charles R. Haugh; and Mrs. Arthur F. Stacker, District VI Director.
On Sunday, Oct. 2, the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter dedicated a marker to the memory of Eunice Daniels Waugh in Unionville.
Mrs. Fairfax is Regent of the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
