This summer, he spent almost every day taking care of his 50 animals. “But as soon as school started, I couldn’t do much. When you have school, it’s hard to keep up. Going to fairs and all, I even missed some school,” he said. But Scotty didn’t sound like he minded that too much And neither does he mind missing the leisure time taken up by his ani mals. “I get to play a little bit. But I’d rather be taking care of the ani mals, anyway.”
He's not in the 4-H livestock club to begin preparing for a career in ag riculture. “I’m not sure if I want to be a farmer when I grow up. I do it just ’cause it’s kind of fun, and be cause I get to make new friends,” Scotty concluded.
