Thomas J. Pillar
Mr. Thomas Joseph Pillar, 84. of Sperryville, died Dec. 20 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Edinburgh, Scotland, and had lived in Sperryville for many years.
Mr. Pillar was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington.
He was retired from the real estate business.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Morrow’ Pillar, Sperryville; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Pillar Cloe, Stafford; one brother, William H. Pillar, ^Colonel Island, Ga.; and two grandchildren.
His parents were the late Robert John and Harriett Neilson Pillar.
A graveside funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cemetery in Woodville at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22.
The Rev. Jennings Hobson III will officiate.
The family will receive friends at their home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sperryville Rescue Squad.

Thomas E. Jenkins
Thomas Earl Jenkins, 72, of Culpeper died Dec. 18 at his residence.
Mr. Jenkins was a native of Rappahannock and had lived in Culpeper for many years. He was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church and was retired from Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Aileen Curtis Jenkins, Culpeper; five sons, J.W. Jenkins, Thomas Edward Jenkins, William W. Jenkins, Thomas Earl Jenkins Jr. and Frank K. Jenkins, all of Culpeper; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Phillip Shaw, Culpeper; one sister, Mrs. Louise
