“Nationally, this is cutting edge material,” noted Superintendent David Gangel as he reported to the School Board Tuesday night on yet ' another partnership venture with Potomac Edison.
The proposal, which was developed by Dr. Gangel, is for an information network Uniting the library, the computer lab, offices and classrooms at the high school. It will put clusters of computers in both the library and the lab and a computer in each of five classrooms, and connect the 16 to each other and to other computers already in the school.
Using the latest compact disk (CD) hardware, students at the classroom computers will have access to data bases through the library and to new CD data bases on various subjects. In addition, they will be able to get such information as library circulation dates from a computer network throughout the School.
