A series of daytime burglaries in the Huntly area has residents worried and the Sheriffs Department puzzled.
Within the past three weeks five Homes have been entered, Sheriff John Henry Woodward reported. All have happened during the afternoon. In two cases, locked doors were forced open. In the other three homes, unlocked doors provided easy access and the burglar apparently just walked in, Sheriff Woodward said.
According to the sheriff, “mostly small things” have been taken, although a .44 Magnum pistol was stolen from Howard Wimer’s house on Dec. 12. Mr. Wimer also reported a
