In addition, a test for ability to use a computer as a research tool will be developed. Beginning in 1989, students will be given a “pretest” in the spring and a “post-test” in the fall to measure their progress; mean annual scores will be compared from one year to the next. Teacher surveys will also be used to evaluate the program’s effectiveness in improving computer literacy.
