The latest incident happened Sunday, Dec. 18, when Donnie Welch’s house on Route 628 was entered. Mr. Welch reported between $300 and $400 missing.
“Mainly, it seems to be money and small valuables the thief is after,” Sheriff Woodward said. Aside from the similarity of items taken and the fact that all of the break-ins apparently happened during the afternoon, Sheriff Woodward said his investigators have little to go on.
“The places are neat as a pin,” he said, with no clues left behind. “Several of the owners were home for some time before they realized that the place had been entered and that anything was missing. We don’t have much to go on,” he admitted.
