Zillah Dietel
Zillah V. Dietel, 86, a retired registered nurse died at her home in Flint Hill on April 7 following & short illness.
Mrs. Dietel, formerly of Churchville and Rochester, New York, was the widow of Dr. Frederick W. Dietel. She was an avid gardener and flower arranger and was at one time an international flower show judge. Following her husband’s death in 1957, she worked at St. Margaret’s School in Waterbury, Connecticut, where she was a housemother and school nurse.
In 1983 “Vann” moved to Flint Hill where she became a member of the Rappahhannock Garden Club.
She is survived by her son, William Moore Dietel of Flint Hill, seven grandchildren and five great grandsons. A son, Dr. John F. Dietel predeceased her.
Interment will be in Churchville, N.Y. and a family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial gifts in her name may be made to the Rappahannock Garden Club.
