There is a new question — first asked in 1980 about the handicapped. All of us know people in wheelchairs disabled by war, age or disease. Because of the census, the government has helped these people become more mobile in our society.
Article I, Section II of the Constitution in 1790 stated that we would take a census immediately, and every 10 years thereafter. Joseph and Mary went to Bethlehem to be counted. We must all help ourselves and our neighbors to get our full share of tax dollars to our local community.
