On April 2, about 3 p.m., a woman in a red Subaru station wagon showed up at the Rappahannock Recreation Center on U.S. 211, ne^r Little Washington, and proceeded to “run” her large black and tan dog until it made its mess (near the volley ball court). When the dog finished, the woman whistled it back to her car and left.
This woman is not the first person I have seen use the large grassy areas of the Recreation Center as a dog run and “dump.” It saddens me that she, and others like her, lack the intelligence to recognize that the center is a playground, for the young and old.
