People are always calling me, in French naturally, asking me if he is lost. He also broke his leg while we were away. No problem. He just appeared at another office building where people have called me to let me know they just love having him visit and snooze the day away. Someone took him to the local veterinarian and thence to his own private suite in their home for the weekend.
Poeple are big on fur coats here. We are talking about a rich city in a rich country. Fur coats in the supermarket. I even saw a woman, rather on the 60ish side, in matching fur coat and hat on her bike on the way to the market.
A last couple of thoughts. As I walked home one day, I could hear the echos bouncing off the WHO building from an unidentified demonstration from in front of the United Nations. Now who but a person living in Geneva would experience that.
One last thing. I sent home to the current Middle Street Gallery show (April 6-29, another “View of Geneva”, a sculpture which evidences (is that a word) my distaste for city living. The mountains may be bigger here, but they are not home. Easier to ski on though.
