The Rappahannock County Democratic Committee hereby announces that it will hold a caucus at 12:00 noon, April 21,1990 at the Rappahannock County Courthouse, Washington, Virginia for the purpose for electing delegates and alternates to the Seventh District Democratic Convention, to be held on May 19, 1990 at the Rappahannock County High School, Washington, Virginia and the State Democratic Convention, to be held on June 9, 1990, at the Richmond Center, in Richmond, Virginia.

The 1990 State Democratic Convention will convene for the purpose of electing a U.S. Senate Candidate and the convention shall continue until all business set forth in accordance with the 1990 call to convention and any subsequent agenda provided by the Convention rules committee, shall be completed.

Any person attending a caucus before participating in that caucus shall sign a standardized form that he or she is a Democrat, does not intend to support any candidate who is opposed to a Democratic nominee in the ensuing general election, is not a member of any other political party and is a registered voter in Rappahannock County. Declaration forms must be filled out at the caucus site prior to 12.00 noon on April 21; 1990, which is the date and time of the caucus. The doors of the caucus site, which is the Rappahannock County Court House, will be closed at this time and no person may complete a form or enter the caucus site after this time with the exception of those persons in line at the above mentioned time.

Persons wishing to be delegates or alternates to these conventions must pre-file with the chairman of the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee. They must also pay a ten dollar ($10.00) filing fee for the State Convention, five dollar ($5.00) for the District Convention or sign a waiver. All forms must be received prior to 5:00 p.m. on April 16,1990.
