SUIT WHUr The Rappahannock High varsity basketball team improved its position for the February district tournament with a solid win at Clarke County Tuesday night, 64-50. Coupled with a 75-70 loss to George Mason on Friday, the Panthers’ record stands at 3-10 overall, 2-7 in the district.
2 The team’s second district win of the year moved it into a three-way tie for sixth place in the nine-school Bull Run District. The top eight teams go to the tournament^ which begins Feb. 24 at a site to be determined.
Right now Central is ranked in the state with a 10-0 record, 8-0 in the district. The other top teams are Stirasburg, 6-1; and George Mason, 7-2. By beating Clarke Rappahannock has a chance to finish in fifth.
