Workshop to be held

Motivation and self-esteem are the topics of a workshop for adult » education providers to be held Saturday, Feb. 22 at Culpeper High School. Dr. Andrew Beale of Virginia Commonwealth University, a professor and licensed counselor, will present the program. The daylong session is free and lunch is provided. Blood pressure screening

As a service to the community Fauquier Hospital is having a free blood pressure screening from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Help for abusers, victims

Services for Abused Families Inc. of Culpeper sponsors weekly support groups for abusers and the victims of domestic violence. A group for women with relationship problems meets at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday and a similar group for men with problems including anger and violence meets at 6:30 p.m. each Monday. The location of these meetings is confidential. For more information, call SAFE (703-8258876 or 703-349-0309). Individual counseling is also available; there is no charge for these services.

Support group
