Julianna Lynn Mock and Derek Andrew Clark were united in marriage at half past six o’clock in the evening on October 19, 1991, at First Baptist Church in Princeton, Ky. with Dr. Bill Tichenor performing the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Linda Ann Mock of Washington. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Carr of Jacksonville, Fla. and the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Lillie Belle Childress of Princeton, Ky. She is also the granddaughter of Mr. end Mrs. Sam Modi of Smith, Ala.
The groom is the son of Roger and Janice Clark of Evansville, Ind. He is the grandson of Mrs. Aliene Haaf, Mrs. Virginia Clark and Mr. and Mrs. George Crahen, all of Owensboro, Ky.
Chad and Stuart Childress, cousins of the bride, lit the candles.
Mrs. Margaret Elder, pianist, and Mrs. Jo McCaslin, organist, presented a program of traditional wedding music.
Vocal soloists, Lorraine Espinola of Washington and Jamie Wigginton of Nashville, Term, performed the following selections "Sunrise, Sunset,” “Wedding Prayer” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” Mrs. Espinola also sang and played on the harp, “There is Love.” Mrs. Mary Fitzgerald, aunt of the bride, read the poem “The Prophet” accompanied by Mrs. Espinola on the harp. ' Boston ferns, a traditional kneeling bench, a 15 branch candlebra, two seven branch and two spiral candlebra Ml decorated with magnolia leaves were the decoration for the alter. A three branch unity candle was decorated with magnolia leaves, fresh lavender, daisy poms, pink als* tromeria, and hot pink and cranberry minies.
Given in marriage by her family and escorted by her grandfather, the bride chose a gown of candlelight satin with a high neckline and long sleeves. A pearl cameo inset luminated the lavishly beaded and sequined alencon lace bodice. The bodice graceftilly flowed into a waistline adorned with three medallions. The back bodice flowed into a cathedral length train with jeweled and sculptured cutouts and accented with a rose butterfly bow.
