Junior Panther squad get revenge on Page Co.
The Junior Panther basketball team avenged an early-season loss to Page Friday afternoon with another close win, this one 51-47. The victory increased their record to 5-1.
Jason Brown had 16 points, again tops in scoring for the team. Jon Butler had 11 and Tim O’Meara eight.
Monday night, in an away game at Warrenton Junior High, the Junior Panthers lost more than just the game when Butler went down for the season with a broken wrist.
It was a one-point game when Butler went down, and Warrenton widened its margin to 20-13 at halftime. Jason Carter and Jeff Atkins drew praise from Coach Leake for their play, but free-throw shooting
