NOTICE OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARING BY THE TOWN OF WASHINGTON TOWN COUNCIL AND THE PUNNING COMMISSION PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on February 12,1992 at 730 o'clock P.M., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, the Planning Commission of the Town of Washington, Virginia and the Town Council of Washington, Virginia wifl hold a Joint Public Hearing for the purpose of considering amendments to the Town of Washington Subdivision Ordinance. The Town of Washington Subdivision Ordinance has been proposed for substantial amendment, with particular emphasis upon the requirement for site plan review for new subdivision and for development upon certain previously approved subdivisions; a proposed requirement for primary and alternate drainfield sites on each building lot; for changes in the time that an application for subdivision is deemed complete; for application of the Virginia Erosion Sediment Control Law to most subdivisions and development; for exemption, or 'grandfathering* of certain previously approved lots from site plan requirements. A copy of the proposed Subdivision Ordinance is available in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County and the Office of the County Administrator of Rappahannock County, both on Gay Street in Washington, Virginia, and may be examined during normal working hours. The public is advised that the Council will consider certain alternate proposals for inclusion within the Subtivision Ordinance, with particular attention upon the following; 1. Whether to require both primary and alternate drainfieldK for lots, and whether to require said drainffelds to be located on said lots. 2. Whether to exempt certain previously approved subdivision lots from certain provisions of the Subdivision Ordinance, and if so, toe standards by which said lots wil be exempted. 3. Whether or not to allow private street to serve a Imited number of lots. The pubfic is invited to attend toe Joint Pubic Hearing andjnake their views known.
