Although it was only a couple of inches, it was the season’s first snowfall on Saturday. * What a thrill it was to see our Washington Redskins football team win Super Bowl XXVI on Sunday, with a 37-24 win over the Buffalo Bills. It was great to see the win not just because they’re our home team, but they do so much for the community throughout the year. Coach Joe Gibbs’ Youth for Tomorrow organization is helping thousands of kids. They are really a blessed team, their hard work and dedication have paid off.
The Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA) has announced some important dates. Registration will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Amissville Fire House and Rappahannock County High School. Registration will also be held on Feb. 29, same time and place.
Opening Day ceremonies at Stuart Field are set for April 25.
