In late November 1991, Mr. Fishback returned home from a mission in South Africa—to build a church in the homeland.
“I never thought it would go this far,” he said of his mission work.
With no real desire to enter theology, ' Mr. Fishback said his work with Methodist Mission was sheer coincidence.
Six years ago, a representative of the United Methodist Church visited , Amisaville and addressed the congregation on a progam called Volunteers in Mission. It enables participants to have “short-term j hands-on misaon opportunities.” * ‘ ■<*
