Flint Hill carnival July 29-Aug. 1

The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department’s annual carnival will be held July 29-Aug. 1.

Highlights of the week will include Wednesday, ride for one low price of $4; Thursday the parade will begin at 6:45 p.m. and be led by the newly crowned Miss Virginia and will also feature high school bands, fire and rescue equipment. Box suppers will be available at 5 p.m. Friday night Shenandoah will perform for two shows, 8:45-9:30 p.m. and 10:15-11 p.m. and awarding of prizes will be held Saturday night which include a 1992 Ford Festiva and a registered black Angus donated by Josef M. Gardiner of High Meadow Farm, two season tickets to the 1992 Redskin home games, dinner for two at The Inn and Four and Twenty Blackbirds and other prizes.

Kids can ride Thursday-Saturday at the cost of $6 per night.

Farm Show to be held

The Culpeper-MadisonRappahannock Farm Show will be held July 23-27 at Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises on Route 29 south of Culpeper.
