Chester Gap carnival

The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department’s firemen’s carnival is underway. The carnival began last night*and will continue through Saturday, July 25.

Performances during the week will include: Thursday night Stonebridge will perform for two shows at 8-9 p.m. and 1011 p.m.; Friday night Shenandoah will perform 8-9 p.m. and 10-11 p.m. and on Saturday Jerry Williams and the Mystic Sound will perform 8-9 p.m. and 10-11 p.m.

' The 7th annual horseshoe pitch will be held at 12 noon Saturday. Also Saturday night box suppers will be available and the grand prize will be given away. “There will be games, food and fun for all. Come, help support your local fire department,” said an organizer.

California to perform

The Rappahannock Association For the Arts and Community (RAAC) will present the group California at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 25 at The Theatre at Washington, Va.
