Brown was also charged with abduction and marital sexual assault, Streapy said, as well as the three original charges of rape, sodomy and abduction he faces from an incident June 30. He is being held without bond pending a hearing.
Streapy said Brown’s capture resulted from a concentrated effort by the Sheriffs Office, including nighttime sweeps by Sheriff John Henry Woodward, Streapy, Animal Warden Ray Pullen and extra deputies called out for duty. The Virginia State Police and Warren County Sheriffs Office also provided manpower, a helicopter and their tracking dogs to assist in the search.
