The popular two-act, one-woman stage production that brings Lou Henry Hoover to life will be performed in Madison County on Friday, Aug. 7 and in Shenandoah National Park’s Byrd Visitor Center Auditorium at Big Meadows on Saturday, Aug. 8. Both performances will begin at 8 p.m.
“First Lady Lou,” a production of Iowa’s Riverside Theatre, played to standing-room-only audiences and standing ovations at The Smithsonian Institution and The National Archives in Washington, D.C. Since it premiered in 1988, the show has been performed more than one hundred times throughout the country including two performances in Shenandoah National Park in 1990.
