Youth baseball action continued in Rappahannock last week for the Rappahannock Athletic Association. The RAA Bluejays, whose record is 8 and 1, won 13 to 8 over the Madison Phillies.
Top hitters for the game were Jesse Boner who had 2 for 4 and Daryl Scott who had 3 for 5.
Starting pitcher J.T. Williams gave up two hits, walked three, struck out nine and gave way to Josh Hitt in the fifth for the save.
Center fielder Jeremy Tygrett showed his stuff with impressive defensive plays and second baseman Chris Dodson, shortstop John Digges, third baseman Daniel Hitt and right fielder Lucas Hensley worked well together in another impressive show of defense strategy.
