Stewart Smith
Stewart Shelton Smith, age 67, of Sperryville, formerly of Richmond and Manassas, died Thursday, July 16 at Prince William Hospital in Manassas.
Mr. Smith was a honorary lifetime member of the Bengley Volunteer Fire Department, Chesterfield County, Va. having served 14 years in fire service and seven years on the Rescue Squad.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Smith; one son, Mike Smith of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Cynthia Fiel of Manassas; his mother, Thelma B. Smith of Richmond and one brother, Walter Powell Smith Jr. of Sandston, Va.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, Angela, James and Erin Smith, Violet Kincaid and Michael Smith Jr.
Funeral services were held at Lee Funeral Home of Manassas on Monday, July 10 with Rev. Stephen W. Dawson officiating. Interment was in Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas with military honors.
