Eunice Wharton
Eunice Betty Wharton, 60, of Culpeper, died Monday, July 20 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 4, 1931 in Madison County, the daughter of Ira H. and Gertie Belle Nicholson Brown.
She was a member of Oak Park Road Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wharton is survived by her husband, Otis William Wharton of Culpeper; three sons, Mike Wharton of Washington, Otis Larry Wharton and Michael William Wharton Jr., both of Unionville and three daughters, Mary Anne Wright of Rixeyville, Vickey Lynn Stewart of Culpeper and Betty Lynn Wharton of Washington. She is also survived by two brothers, Fordyce Brown and Aubrey Brown, both of Madison and seven sisters, Hattie Broyles, Irene Nicholson and Lorraine Tompkins, all of Madison, Marie Seale of Orange, Frances Lengel of Indian Head., Md., Virginia A. Dodson of Slate Mills and Teresa A. Brown of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include 14 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother Charles Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 23 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with interment in Fairview Cemetery.
