(This is an original lawyers joke) whereas if two lawyers represent a plaintiff and defended and after much expense, phone calls, consultations, letter writing; negotiations, retainers, billings and judicial hearings; both the plaintiff and the defendent go away feeling that they have gotten the worst of the deal; the attorneys leave contented that they have done a good job. Now that Ross Perot has bowed out I should have some comment since I mentioned it rather enthusiastically before. My comment is that I am disappointed. Not because he is gone but that the cause is gone. I would have backed Bart Simpson in order to get the system changed.
I am not convinced that the reasons Perot gave for quitting are the real reasons. Some analysts believe that it was too hot in the kitchen. It is a shame that negative campaigning seems the primary way to go.
