RICHMOND -*- Delegate John J. “Butch” Davies D-Culpeper, Mitch Van Yahres, D-Charlottesville, Delegate Jerry Wood D-Warrenton, and Senator R. Edward Houck D-Spotsyl vania announced today the creation of a comprehensive study to examine highway, rail, and air transportation development in the U.S. 29 transportation corridor.
‘Today we established a framework for how the study will be conducted with local input,” said Del. Davies, “It is important that those impacted by U.S. 29 decisions be involved in the process.”
“Local people and local governments need and yill have input in the process. This is a project that will directly effect economic development in each community along U.S. 29 and it is only right that they are involved in the process,” said Del. Wood.
