to fines and assessments totalling nearly $3800. The majority, $1500, will go to the Shenandoah National Park Wildlife Protection Fund.

This assessment was for replacement costs for the three large whitetail bucks which Thomas Snow shot in the Saddleback Mountain area of the Park on Dec. 12,1992.

Thomas Snow was ordered to forfeit his rifle to the National Park Service.

Additionally, both were placed on two years probation, loss of their state hunting privileges for one year and banned from any national park for a period of two years.

The two were sentenced to six months in jail on each charge.
