If you worked and received Social Security benefits in 1992, you have until April 15 to report earnings above the annual limit to Social Secufity, according to Bruce A. Hundley, Social Security manager in Culpeper.
The L992 earnings limits were $7,440 for beneficiaries under age 65 and $10,200 for beneficiaries age 6569. The earnings limits do not apply to people who are age 70 and over the entire year.
The purpose of the annual earnings report is to enable Social Security to compare your actual earnings with the estimate you provided when you applied for benefits or when you filed last year’s earnings report.
