“This is a fun raiser for us kids,” said Ben Steven Price. “Please help give some money. Do it for the kids!”

“It is not just a fund raiser but something for us to play on. And recess is the most important part of school,” maintained Kevin James Yowell.

“Please give a little or a lot of money for a pirate ship on the playground so it will not be so crowded,” added Natalie Williams.

“It is important to get your exercise,” concluded Kristy Fletcher. “That is why we are building a pirate ship. It will only take imagination to make it fun.”

Second ship at Park

Kay and Rick Kohler are captains of a second ship building venture, this one at the county park. When the park’s castle was constructed seven years ago, a pirate ship wras envisioned as phase two of the project. “It’s taken a while, but* we’re ready now,” said Mrs. Kohler, who is leading the effort under the auspices of the Rappahannock Recreation Authority. “This will be a huge community effort. Lots of people want to see it happen.”
