“This is a testament of the hard work and dedication our volunteer leaders put forth,” Parrish said.
In addition, Rappahannock County voting delegates joined 276 other delegates from around Vi& ginia to set Farm Bureau’s 1993 legislative agenda for the upcoming General Assembly.
The Farm Bureau supported more funding for the Virginia CoofSr erative Extension Service, retaining the land use taxation program and reducing the state’s growing deer herd. V
The delegates also adopted resolutions that pertain to rising healtji care costs, child labor regulations and water use permit fees.
“This was a very important meeting for our county leaders,.*’ noted Parrish. —
“Farmers face a barrage of potential governmental regulations and we were able to pinpoint the issues that most affect us. ■ ~
“Hopefully we can get some of these regulations changed during the General Assembly,” he added.
