Land Use

The Commissioner of Revenue’s Office will accept applications for land use taxation through Nov. 1. Property owners who have been in the program and wish to continue need to return their forms by that date.

Anyone who didn’t receive a form or who has questions about the program should call 675-3513.

E-911 Signs

A subcontractor will begin erecting street signs for the new E-911 system Thursday morning. The process is expected to take 60 days.

Any resident who sees a problem with a sign is asked to call Chris Salmon or Deidre Hays at 675-3137.

Voting

Registrar Nancy Leake reminds voters who have moved they must registered in the precinct they actually live in to vote in this year’s elections for seats on the Board of Supervisors and School Board.

She is also trying to get new E-911 address for voters. Notify the registrar by calling 675-3739 or come by the office on the side of the Commissioner of Revenue building during hours 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
