They said they want to provide “good food, not gourmet dining.” They expect to sell lunches for about $6 and dinners for about $12. “It’s going to be sensibly priced so anyone can eat here, but it will not be a beer hall,” Mrs. Eldred said.
They plan to have full menus for lunch and dinner as well as lighter fare. They seek to serve a varied market of both local people and tourists: older county singles uninspired by the idea of cooking for one, employees getting off from the earlier shifts at The Inn across the street, weekenders coming out on Fridays who now have to stop and eat in Warrenton because many restaurants in the county close at 8 p.m.
