Rappahannock County High School is very likely to be in a fourschool Bull Run District starting in the fall of 1997.

In late August the redistricting and reclassification committee of the Virginia High School League, voted 11 to 0 to support that alighment. .. The VHSL executive committee >vill meet later this month to adopt a plan that will fix schools in districts for athletic and other competition for a three-year period starting with the next school year. Schools have an opportunity to request amendments to the plan through die end of this week, and RCHS Principal Jack Raines and athletic director Mike Tupper are considering an appeal. However, with the other schools apparently satisfied With this redistricting, any objection from RCHS is unlikely to prevail.

Joining RCHS in the realigned Bull Run District are only George Mason, Manassas Park and Brentsville District high schools.
