Talk Of The Town, the Washington shop featuring fine gifts and accessories, is sponsoring a Post Card Art Contest for children in grades 3 through 7 who reside or attend school in Rappahannock County. The purpose of the contest is threefold: to raise money for the Rappahannock County Historical Society’s Computer Fund, to hone the youths’ awareness of the historical and natural beauty with which we are blessed, and to make available some youthful artistic expressions capturing the charm of Rappahannock County.

All entries need to be accompanied by an application which is being distributed to the schools or may be picked up at Talk of the Town. The subject of the entries must be a building(s) or scene from Rappahannock County. Any medium of two dimensional art work on any surface will be accepted as long as the size fits the framed outline which is provided with the application.

The art work will be displayed at Talk Of The Town from the preview opening at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20 through Oct. 29. During that period the public will be invited to Cast ballots for their favorite works of art. If the artist permits, the renderings will be available for purchase, at a
