The cowboy (and girl) boots are one of the biggest sellers in the shop, said Mrs. Vierling. Six pairs were sold last week alone. She is always looking for more boots to sell on consignment, along with many other items, including school uniforms, khaki trousers, white shirts, and navy blazers, riding clothes, and camouflage clothing. "They sell very well," she said, adding that it can be really expensive when sending kids off to a private school or for riding lessons.
Mrs. Vierling is looking for any childrens' clothing in good shape. She gets 35 percent of the selling price, and the owner of the clothing gets 65 percent, which she says is better than most consignment shops. She tries to beat prices in other consignment shops, too. Nearly everything in the shop is priced between $2 and $10. At the end of a season many of the clothes are put on sale. Right now there are plenty of summer clothes on sale for 50 cents, and even a few for 25 cents. The price
