The new license plate will enter production when the first 350 orders have been received. VFTA is accepting orders for the license plate which is available for a fee of $25, plus the standard renewal fee. Checks for the $25 portion of the fee made payable to VFTA, along with completed DMV application forms, should be sent to VFTA, 214 N. Jefferson St., Suite 600, Richmond, Va. 23220-4200.
When statewide sales exceed 1,000 plates, $15 of each $25 fee will be placed in a special fund for use by the Virginia Commission foi* the Arts. The money will supplement funds allocated by the General Assembly in the state budget.
Founded in 1992, VFTA's mission is to preserve the arts in the Commonwealth by increasing funding for the arts commission.
