1/2 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/2 cup chopped pecans 1/2 cup raisins 1 egg, beaten 1 cup applesauce 1/4 cup vegetable oil Combine first 7 ingredients in a large bowl; stir in pecans and raisins. Make a well in center of mixture. Combine egg, applesauce, and oil; add to dray ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Spoon mixture into a greased and floured 81/2 by 4 1/4 by 3-inch loaf-pan. Bake at 350 degree for 40 to 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in cengredients just enough to moisten them. Lumps are fine; the batter is not supposed to be smooth. And a crack in the top of the loaf is typical. .
