Mrs. Elizabeth Weld Bennett, 97, of Washington died Sept. 7 at her residence.
She was bom July 25, 1899, in Massachusetts.
She was a member at the Old Ship Church in Hingham, Massachusetts.
She was the daughter of the late Clifford and Clarissa Lyon Weld.
She was predeceased in death by her husband, Edwin Clark Bennett.
She is survived by two daughters, Clarissa W. Leggett of Washington and Elizabeth W. Ewing of Massachusetts; one son, Edwin C. Bennett of Massachusetts; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, Sept. 12 at 2:30 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Jennings Hobson III officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Volunteer Fire Department or the Washington Rescue ' Squad, Washington, Va. 22747.
