I salute the efforts being put forth by interested parties in Rappahannock County to get a permanent senior center for the elderly citizens to use for their meal site and for checkers, cards, just plain old talking to one another, crafts, storage for games and craft materials.
I'm equally angry and disappointed to find the Community Services Board opposing the efforts of this group. They have allowed the meals program to run for years in an unsafe place, with no wheelchair ramp for the handicapped.
They had stairs to climb to enter their room for meals and more stairs to go down and back up to use a bathroom.
This group has gotten the crumbs from the Community Services Board. They say, they have no money; yet funds are flowing to other sites for
