Mrs. Dale Metzinger, j District Director,, and member of the j Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, led the workshop, calling on District officers, state officers and DAR members to present new and repeat information in their particular specialty.
Mrs. Edgar F. Puryear, Jr., State Treasurer, went over the revision of remittance blanks for chapters to follow plus clarified amounts of contributions for the support of DAR projects and special interests.
A report on the WIMS A Memorial (Women In Military Service For America) was given by Mrs. Dan Shackelford. This memorial was authorized by Congress but is not fed: erally funded by it. Money must be raised through private donations.
Groundbreaking -for this memorial, located at the gateway to Arlington National Cemetery, was held June 22, 1995, and dedication is planned for 1997. This is to recognize all women who have served in the armed forces —- past, present and future. A register
