ne varsity matchup with Strasburg was a disappointment. After looking good against Clarke County in the earlier scrimmage, in the first regular season game the varsity struggled. Sonya Wiggington got the team off to a 2-0 lead, but the Panthers fell behind 7-2 before scoring again and ended the first quarter down 13-6.
In the second quarter the Panthers added only two more points and trailed at fhe half 28-8. In the third, quarter Strasburg added 11 more points while the RCHS squad added six.
In the final quarter the Panthers gained some ground, mostly on free throws as Strasburg went over the limit on fouls earlier than the home team. However, they ended the game down 50-35.
